Work done
Mechanical or electrical work done is equal to the energy transferred.
Mechanical working: W = Fd = ΔE
F is the force in the direction of motion, d is the distance moved in that direction. Unit of work and energy: joule (J). 1 J = 1 N m.
A constant force of 25 N pushes a crate 4.0 m in the direction of the force. Calculate the work done.
